It's a shield

Balvan made the Slab before the fight with a dangerous golden dragon named Zoloto, probably making it better after the fight and given the inscription sometime later.

The front of the shield is inscribed with the epitaph: “In memory of our beloved Alice she was taken from us far too soon.” Followed by the symbol of Alice’s parents’ friend, the late sun god Pelor.

Mechanical effect[]

It's a Large stone shield +2 and gives additional DR 5/- it has double the normal armor check penalty and weighs 250 lbs. no problem to Balvan, but problematic for every other one without crazy strength.
