Rygax's rebellion was a revolt against Vladimir's rule by a number of powerful Spirits of the Shadowfel, led by Rygax. The plan was to overwhelm the shackles providing Vladimir with his most important powers, then send a strike team into Poenari Citadel to assassinate him in his weakened state.
