Tales From My D&D Campaign Wiki

Goodplace was a village that the local Baron sacrificed to Cornello in exchange for being made a lieutenant, along with the rest of his subjects. This village contained a portal to the Shadowfel in the butcher's shop, through which a number of zombies were able to enter the area.

The suspicious actions of the Baron led to Goodplace being investigated by both the Hand of Sirius (using the party as a proxy) and The Shepherds, who sent Zaheer and Mahar.

Joining forces, these two groups destroyed the portal in the butcher's and slew one of Baron Deathmoor's servants, along with many zombies and some kind of slime creature. The village is now understandably abandoned.

It was suggested by King Edward that Draven may become the new Baron and use the land to settle Verandian refugees, but this plan was shelved when the Deluvian peace offer was accepted, as Draven cannot be both Baron of Woodbridge and Marquis of Rowan.
