Gogah was the first beholder, created by Muradin to be a companion in the first recorded instance of a god creating life. He was given many eyes so that he could always be on guard, as shortly before his creation one of Muradin's other creations had been stolen by Tiamat.

His jealousy led him to destroy one of Muradin's other projects and so he way sealed away in a mountain. Later he got out and killed some gnomes.
