VII was Draven's homunculus for the first few episodes until it sacrificed itself (or more accurately, he sacrificed it) as part of a plan to prevent the Ginaron portal from overloading. More recently, it has been discovered to have survived (having teleported to Polaron in a damaged state and been repaired with Yttronium) and is now inexplicably spying on formians in the Feywild. Draven has decided to let this go until after he's dealt with the Astral Plague, which is a far more pressing concern.
It's pronounced as "Seven", by the way.
