The Dragonborn are a race of humanoid dragonesque beings originally native to the "Dragon continents" of Haruan and Novendil. Their history is a long and tragic one, to the extent that living Dragonborn in the present day are rarer than Newforged.
Creation
According to the Dragon-worshipping religion enforced on the Dragonborn by their Draconic masters, the Dragons created the Dragonborn from scratch in a display of their god-like magical powers. However, many independent historians believe that they instead mutated a native race of Lizardfolk. This is backed up by the fact that such Lizardfolk exist in the area corresponding to the Dragon continents in the Feywild.
