Fadeer, a Dragonborn, casting Solid Fog

Fadeer, a dragonborn, casting a solid fog spell

The Dragonborn (known as Draks in the new series to avoid potential legal complications) are a race of humanoid dragonesque beings originally native to the "Dragon continents" of Haruan and Novendil. Their history is a long and tragic one, to the extent that living Dragonborn in the present day are rarer than Newforged.

Physiology[]

Dragonborn are similar to Lizardfolk (see creation section), although more draconic in appearance. They reach adult size in under ten years, but often die by sixty. Like Dragons, Dragonborn have breath weapons, but unlike Dragons the colour of their scales does not indicate the breath weapon's damage type.

History[]

Creation[]

According to the Dragon-worshipping religion enforced on the Dragonborn by their Draconic masters, the Dragons created the Dragonborn from scratch in a display of their god-like magical powers. However, many independent historians believe that they instead mutated a native race of Lizardfolk. This is backed up by the fact that such Lizardfolk exist in the area corresponding to the Dragon continents in the Feywild.
